I am a WFM from India coming from a Professional Chess Family. My sister is a WGM/IM while my dad is involved in teaching chess to young kids.

I have been playing Chess at State, National and International Level for the last 36 years!

I have taught Chess to school children of 5-19 years for 16+ years and also giving online classes to students from various countries esp. US for the past 14+ years.
One of my former student was a State (various age categories),National (India) (Under-7 )and Asian Champion (under-8). A few of my students have participated in World age group championships as well.
A few of my online students have been/ are doing well in their State and National Championships in US.

improving a student's calculating ability

Depending on the standard of a student and keeping in mind his/ her strong points and weaknesses, I make a plan and then follow up regularly over email and whatsapp. If required, I also make a weekly time table depending on the time they can put in for Chess. I analyze
games and also give regular puzzles or suggest books / sites for various chess activities.
