Placed among top in the Suriname Srefedensi Masters a few times

Most of these are Olympiads and I played in many tournaments in USA such as New York (many times), Philidelphia, Kansas, Chicago and Washington.

Teaching experience

25 Years of coaching experience having coached a number of players over the years both nationally and internationally.

Other experiences

Author of a Chess magazine not running right now (planning to restart it)
Teach Chess in schools on a daily basis in Trinidad and Tobago

I also coach Juniors and beginners who are interested in improving quickly to become tournament players.

Best skills

Very proficient in the openings: Ruy Lopez, Italian Game and Sicilian Dragon (both colours)
NOTE: I learned a lot on the Italian Game and Ruy Lopez from GM Sergey Tiviakov when he was my coach

Very good at teaching the minority attack and also King and Pawn Endgames, Bishop vs Knight Endgames

Current Studies are:
Sicilian Kan & Taimanov
Bg5 against Sicilian Najdorf
Nimzo-Indian against d4
Queen's Indian against d4
Best defence against Morra Gambit (Solved)
Italian Game
Ruy Lopez
Attacking The French Defence
Attacking the Caro-Kann
Attacking the Accelerated Dragon
Playing The Maroczy
Good System against the English Opening (still a lot of work in progress)

I am working on these things. Not claiming proficiency at all of them. Most of these are work in progress. So far so good!

Teaching methodology

IF YOU LEARN TO PLAN AND ASSESS POSITIONS using my method, eventually when you become proficient at it you will eventually evolve and have your own way of approaching planning and assessment after having good experience

My method of teaching is with the understanding that YOU need to learn the middle game: planning, assessment and how to calculate >>> openings are secondary (albeit important).

I will assist with openings but my MAIN focus is always middle game and endgames.
