Alderaan - as good a scam as big foot, nothing to see

Given that the nearest known exoplanet Proxima Centauri b is 4.5 light years away, someone who is only able to travel at the speed of light would need to travel for at 4.5 years just to reach that one. Doesn't sound like something you'd do just as a tourist stop.
