Hello, I am FIDE Master Kostas Tsiamis, 39, from Athens, Greece.

I started playing chess when I was 6 and have dedicated my life to it, studying the game and helping others improve at it.

I am a professional chess trainer with over 20 years of experience and many distinctions in regional and national tournaments as a coach.

Greek Champion U18 (2001)

Winner of the Athens Championship (2003)

1st place in Greek Team Championship with EES Korydallou (1998)

3rd place in Greek Team Championship with EES Korydallou (2011)

Participation in many European and World Youth and Junior Championships

Certified FIDE Trainer (FT)

20 years of experience working as a professional chess coach

Author of the book "First Steps in Chess" in Greek language (2010)

I have a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Technical University of Athens and MSc in Applied Mathematics.

I employ a unique approach to each student. For that, a total of at least 20 games (classic, rapid or blitz) is required for me to set up personalized courses upon analysis of each student's strengths / weaknesses. During the lessons, emphasis will be put on minimizing the student's weaknesses, the thinking process and psychology. We'll study classical games and work on the opening repertoire as well as positional skills and calculation abilities.

Homework and additional material will be provided after every lesson, as will extensive resources on openings, middlegame and endings.
