Lichess Game of the Month August - Contest

Share your best Lichess game of August 2024 (only from August 2024 - only standard games (no variant games) and only one game per player - additional games will be ignored!) until September 5th by a comment of this post! The winner will be mentioned here in this forum post on September 14th, followed by a Lichess blog post with a Lichess commentary of the game at a later point in September. Good luck!

A very nice attacking game.

The strategic endgame concept was to finish it with the Alekhine's gun. The idea came to mind on move 23, and it started getting built on move 25. There was lots of time and with all those mistakes that followed there was no guarantee it would work, until the last few moves. Original "Alekhine's gun" game is in the wiki.

A short but sweet game, with a rook sacrifice on b7 which would result in a royal fork but instead my opponent got mated without the fork. Levy would be screaming right now. THE ROOOOOOOOOOOOK
