Yesterday's game was interrupted because lichess website down: lost rating

Hi,

Yesterday, the lichess site is down while I was in a middle of this game: lichess.org/Vrs9V3II

Today I notice that this game is recorded as my loss on time because it was my turn when the site is down.
I lost some rating points.

Can my rating points be recovered? I don't think I should lose points here because I cannot make my move when lichess is down.
The site network error is not a scheduled maintenance, so I had no way to know this beforehand either.

given adaptive nature of rating algorithm doing some massive rating fix round seems bit too heavy considering rather minor gain.

They should abort the game but they didn't. That's what I am asking for here.

well for technical reason they could not abort. If net connection is lost server does not crash it just sees there is no communications from clients. Poor program cannot know if it is due to hardware failure on network connection or people not just playing. And amount games is such that if we assume average game length to be about 5 minutes then about 10 000 would have been disconnected. then separating which ones were genuine timeouts and which ones were due to lost connection can be tedious and may well require manual labor. I can live with 5 rating points lost. I lose them otherwise as well so not a big deal

I have a similar issue. I started a game in an arena, we had played a few moves and then the server went down. Today I see the game marked as my loss "White didn't move". lichess.org/wUv1qR2eIlLT
Please mark games that fail to finish due to server issues as either private (not ranking) or cancel them.

that would be impossible without having access to the database which they didnt and i doubt anything was working considering a main part of lichess was disconnected
