I am a 26 yr old graduate student living in the U.S. (Moved from China in 2008). I currently hold a B.S. in genetics from NCSU and a M.A. in disaster studies from UTRGV. While obtaining my Master's, I played for the UTRGV collegiate chess team which won the Pan-American championship in succession from 2018 to 2021.
Since 2016, I have worked with notable coaches such as GM Tanguy Ringoir, GM Avetik Grigoryan and currently GM Varuzhan Akobian.

Teaching experience
I have been teaching since 2011. While working with me, my students achieved feats such as placing in the top 10 at K-8 National Championships & gaining 300 rating points in 3 months.
Best skills
My best skill is to show my students how to take advantage of off-the-board subtleties that ultimately translate into a full point.
Teaching methodology
The main theme of my teaching style is based on my belief that everyone should become their own protagonist and that it is my responsibility to guide my students to write their own success. While essential components such as game analysis are a must during a session, the student will have autonomy in deciding what specifics they would like me to teach them. (i.e. stages of a game, tactics, positional ideas)
